about

Free improvisation - a sign of the times - is a vast field that encompasses diverse approaches, practices, credos and intentions.

This album is a faithful record of a particular moment in the collaboration between Federea and Danielle Bentley. It was recorded after some time of intermittent collaboration, allowing the musical interaction to flow spontaneously.

Each one of the two pieces have been recorded in a single take, they constitute improvisations made from the confluence between musical perspectives like rivers in the sea: in Danielle's case mainly classical and contemporary music of written tradition, but also different practices from popular music; in Federea's case mainly experimental music, free improvisation and sound art.

It is, in any case, about converging in a space where, unpretentiously and in all honesty, the music takes form (and content) in the shared interplay process but is also proposed as an aesthetic result that is offered to the listener as a particular musical experience.

We sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as we did doing it.
